How much do veneers cost?
Okay, so there’s no point in us pretending that veneers are cheap – they’re not.
But they’re also not as ridiculous – or exclusive – as prices can first appear.
- Porcelain veneers are widely regarded as the crème de la crème of veneer treatment, and at Harley Street Smile Clinic prices are available in our fees page.
- Composite veneers are a cheaper alternative but this needs to be considered against their longevity. Composite veneers are only expected to last between 2-5 years, a fraction of the lifespan expected from porcelain veneers.
Done professionally, porcelain veneers should last for many years (we offer a 5-year guarantee but expect our treatment to last upwards of 15 years).
On average, for a balanced and natural smile, it’s usually recommended to have between four and ten veneers. It’s important to remember though, that there’s no set number of veneers you have to have – which gives you more control over the cost.
How many veneers you need depends on the look you’re trying to achieve and what the key concern is about your smile.
For example, if all your teeth overlap or you have an overly gummy smile, you may need a full set of veneers. On the other hand, if it’s just one broken tooth spoiling the appearance of your smile, a single veneer may be all you need.
At The Smile Clinic, we generally place a minimum of four veneers. But before you faint, let’s do the maths.

How can I pay for veneers?
In the UK, cosmetic dentistry is only available under the NHS if there’s a proven clinical need. This leaves anyone looking to improve their smile for cosmetic reasons (which is a large percentage of people) left paying for treatment out of their own pocket – and it doesn’t come cheap.
Yes, if you break down how much quality veneers cost and how long professional treatment can last, the price soon becomes less eye-watering. But we completely understand that, for many people, this is still a huge outlay.
For this reason, we offer veneers on finance. You can spread the cost of treatment over anything from six months to five years, with options for interest-free repayments over two years.

Beware of cheap veneers
You absolutely should shop around for the best value for money and seek recommendations (check out our reviews), but you also need to be wary of any veneer costs that sound too good to be true.
