Full Smile Makeover
London

The full smile makeover usually consists of a combination of whitening your natural teeth, and the placement of porcelain veneers to hide imperfections and enhance your smile. For perfection we usually recommend veneers for the visible teeth you show when you smile, this is normally 8 to 10 top and bottom teeth.

Not everyone is looking for total perfection, and creating a bespoke smile to tailor to your wishes is discussed with your dentist at the consultation. The smile design process and how we achieve the smile of your dreams can be found below:

The Consultation

At the Harley Street Smile Clinic, we specialise in enhancing, restoring and correcting your smile. Most clients have a good idea of what they don’t like about their own smile. Your initial consultation will involve a 1-1 informal chat together with a clinical examination. During the consultation, we will listen to your concerns, and discuss and establish exactly what you are unhappy with. We can then advise of all the treatment options available, and how each treatment is carried out. You will be given a detailed treatment plan and proposed costing. We also provide you with a smile simulation.

The Smile Simulation

This shows you how we can transform your smile with bespoke computer enhancement using a 3D smile prototype.

You will now be on the first step to creating your new smile.

Your digital smile design is then transferred into a 3-dimensional smile simulation by our expert dental technicians. This gives you another more detailed opportunity to view your smile from all angles.

The Temporary Teeth

Your teeth will then be precisely prepared and shaped to exact measures, and your provisional temporary teeth will be fitted immediately. This “trial run” will allow you to assess as to whether you would like any changes, and ask the opinion of your friends and family. Sometimes you may decide that you would like the veneers to be more rounded in shape, or longer, or a lighter colour. This feedback is welcomed so that we can make the necessary changes before the veneers are finalised in porcelain. It is at this point that you can feel truly confident that the end result will be to your liking.

The Final Veneers

And finally the “trial smile” is made into the highest quality porcelain veneers. The final veneers are handcrafted by our master technicians and will have the shape, detail and texture of natural teeth, to your desired colour. Any changes you may have asked for will be present in the final veneers. Whilst the veneers will look much like the temporary teeth, they will feel much more glossy and comfortable.

The Review

Once the veneers have been fitted a review appointment is carried out a week or so later to ensure that everything can be checked and the 5-year guarantee issued. Often there are tiny adjustments that may need to be made to ensure everything is as perfect as it can be. When you are having the veneers fitted, because you are numb, we rarely make adjustments to the veneers. Minor bite adjustments may need to be carried out, or shaping of the tips of the veneers, but it is best to do this a week later when you are not only not numb, but you have had a chance to get used to the veneers. That way we can ensure you get the best possible end result.
